International humanitarian news site. Has quick summaries of current crises and conflicts, as well as country profiles and some introductory information on relevant subjects such as international humanitarian law.

Organisation aiming to prevent torture by promoting transparency in places of detention, lobbying governments to ratify OP-CAT and other treaties and implement effective anti-torture laws, and developing appropriate systems and partnerships within countries. Publications are available for download from the site. Currently developing a "Practical Guide on Immigration Detention" together with UNHCR and the International Detention Coalition. US-based organisation focussing on women and children refugees and internally displaced people. Part of the International Rescue Committee. Research and reports based on fact-finding missions, information and training resources for NGOs. Plenty of information on issues affecting displaced women.

International advocacy organisation for displaced people and stateless people. Field reports, research, advocacy. Funded by donations from individuals, foundations and corporations (does not accept government or UN funding). US-based (Washington, DC), with another office in London.
